- Run order
- Connect, sort, split, estimate
What happens to a deposit on its way to your take-home.
Shuffo links to the places that pay you, files each deposit under its source, splits it by a rule you write once, and keeps a quarterly estimate next to what you have put aside. Here is each step, in the order it runs.
1 of 4Free
Connect
Link the accounts your gig money lands in. You choose which ones, and you can disconnect any of them whenever you like.
- Rideshare and delivery appsWeekly and instant payouts
- Freelance marketplacesPayouts for finished jobs
- Direct-pay clientsInvoices paid by bank transfer
- Peer-to-peer transfersThe ones you mark as gig income
For each deposit, Shuffo gets the amount, the date, and the paying platform. It uses them only to sort your income, apply your split rule, and produce your estimates and reports. Disconnect a source and you can ask support@shuffo.com to delete its data.
2 of 4Free
Sort
Each deposit is filed under the platform that sent it, so a month of scattered payouts reads as four sources with a running total and a history you can page back through.

- Sep 28 weekly payoutRideshare$218.40
- Sep 29 shop payoutEtsy$105.50

Split
Write the rule once: a share for taxes, a share for savings, the rest to spend. Because it is a percentage, a $40 transfer and a $900 invoice split the same way, and a quiet week never leaves the rule to reset.
- Tax reserve22%−$23.00
- Savings10%−$11.00
- Yours to spendThe rest$71.50
Sample data. Set-asides rounded to the dollar: 22% of $105.50 is $23.21, 10% is $10.55.

Estimate
Every quarter gets a plain-language estimate from the income Shuffo has seen and general self-employment rates. It sits beside your tax reserve and shifts each time a deposit lands, so you see the gap while there is still time to close it.
- Estimate, Jul to SepSelf-employment tax plus a federal range$1,670 to $2,500
Estimate only. Not tax preparation. Ask a qualified tax professional. The range uses general rates, not your return: deductions, credits, state tax, and your real bracket all change it.
- In your tax reserveJuly, August, and September$1,523
* Estimate only. Not tax preparation. Ask a qualified tax professional. In this sample the reserve is $147 under the low end of the range.
Shown by calendar quarter for the example. IRS payment periods run differently; see quarterly due dates.

What Shuffo is not
It is an income tracking and organization tool, upstream of the people and software that handle your taxes.
- Not tax prepIt does not prepare or file a return. The estimate is a guardrail for what to put aside.
- Not accountingIt does not keep your books. It sorts deposits you already receive.
- Not adviceIt never tells you what to do with your money. It only applies rules you set.
Start with the first two steps, free.
Connect and sort cost nothing and have no time limit. Add splits and the estimate when you want them.
